Walk to the bus stop
One of the things I truly can’t stand
Is when someone won’t believe what I say.
It may not be totally accurate now
But I’m telling the truth as I know it my way.
To impugn my words was a hurt from my past
Way back when I was just a kid
My friend asked her father to give me a ride
So that is just what I did.
But before getting that ride, I stood in their hall
Waiting to get the okay
He said I was sneaky and really didn’t care
That I had my umbrella that day.
I look back now, and I should have just left
Even then with my tail ‘tween my legs
Cause that awful day hurts me even now
“I want to forget it,” my head and heart begs.
