God’s temple

Under a scarlet sky 
live prevails in theory 
but ceases to exist 
for those 
incessantly choosing 
to minimize the lives of others 
in an attempt 
to stand higher 
in an unseen temple 
built big enough for two 
but allowing 
only one 
to be 
alive.
