The Virus: A Sonnet

It is absurd to think we have one day
to live free without the sickness and pain
While the rest of the days are filled with gloom
Making the clouds want to cry down like rain.

The world is no longer an open book
For anyone to read when they need it
Leading us into reality’s grasp
With the hope of all remaining unsplit.

We can no longer live with the freedom
To go where we want when we want to go
For the sickness is hovering above
we have no knowledge of how fast or slow.

Listen to the rain to wash away fear
With faith and hope we live another year.

Walking…

And though we walk miles
to find peace in a world
where stability teeters
on the edge,
we follow a path
led by those
we believe in
as we have faith
that they will know
which way is the optimal
way to go.
And when we walk miles
we may find peace
in a world
filled with instability
where our character
is worth more
than possessions we own.

Tao Talk

email newsletter:

If you’re running into empty shelves when you go shopping for hand sanitizers, don’t panic, just make your own. When you know you won’t be able to access soap and water, whip up a batch ahead of time to spray hands and surfaces.

What you will need: Bowl, spoon, spray bottle container.

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup 60-99% rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol)

  • 1/3 cup  aloe vera gel

  • 8 to 10 drops essential oil (optional)
Eucalyptus, Lavender, Lemon, Rosemary, and Tea tree are great options.

Nothing could be easier! Simply mix the ingredients together and then pour them into the bottle. Screw the lid onto the bottle and you’re…
