Permanence: dVerse Pub

What is permanent?

The sun rotates
The stars glow
Seeds grow
Animals are born
People die
Food is eaten
Things are thrown away

Clouds float by
Rain falls from the sky
Trees get cut down
Animals are prey
People go from place to place
A drink is only drunken once.

Isn’t permanence the only thing that is permanent?

Poor Brody!

The poor baby was napping when I went to file a nail and I woke him up! Brody is content no moving!

Treatment: FOWC with Fandango

The Doctor

When you see the doctor
He will prod and he’ll poke
He’ll talk about treatment
Did you hear how he spoke?
He sounded sort of edgy
Maybe a little bit mad
He isn’t happy with you
Or the options you’ve had.
He thinks that he is better
Than God and all his men
You probably won’t go back
He will diagnose you again.

Slice: A true story

It’s Six Sentence Story Thursday Link Up!

When I was growing up my mother knew that the only way anyone was going to eat fruit was to have it already sliced and ready to eat. Each slice of watermelon, juicy and sweet. Each slice of cantaloupe melting in your mouth. If she did not slice it, the fruit would sit in the refrigerator until it rotted and had to be thrown out. So instead of wasting so much good food, she washed it and sliced it and everyone gobbled up every last bit of fruit. As a mother, I did the same thing and as you may have guessed, fruit disappears just as fast as I slice it.

The Secret Room: PROMPT #123

written for Reena’s Challenge:

A silent scream can open

Any secret door

Just remember hold it tight

The knob is not secure

When you get in look around

To see what’s in that room

Can you find a treasure

Or is it all dust and gloom?

No matter what the outcome

You got yourself inside

Now to find the way out

Let instinct be your guide.
